Hannah Janknecht, Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist & Team Leader, Adherent
Hannah joined Adherent’s Global Regulatory Compliance team as a Regulatory Specialist in September 2022. She monitors regulatory developments in German-speaking countries and supports clients with questions on textiles, ESG reporting, illegal logging, and supply chain due diligence.
Hannah studied law in Germany at the University of Bonn and holds an LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from University College Cork.
Prior to joining Adherent, Hannah worked for various government agencies in Germany, mainly in the area of the Common Agricultural Policy. She speaks German, English, and French.
Alex Li, Global Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Adherent
Alex is a Global Regulatory Compliance Specialist at Adherent. He is the primary Subject Matter Expert for Climate Change, Carbon Footprint, and Climate Change: Corporate Reporting (Climate Disclosures). He also oversees ESG/Sustainability Reporting as an Associate Subject Matter Expert, monitors regulatory developments in several Asian countries.
Before joining Adherent, Alex worked in consulting roles in government relations and market research in China, where he advised clients on a broad range of issues including US–China relations, China’s industrial policy, and global product trends across sectors such as Cosmetics, Semiconductors, Consumer Electronics, Consumer Appliances, Tissue & Hygiene, and Toys & Games.
Alex graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai, China, with a Bachelor of Law in Politics and Public Administration in 2019, and from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, with a Master of Arts in Political Science in 2021. He has studied and worked in China, the United States, Canada, and Ireland and is proficient in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Sean Murphy, Business Development Director, Adherent
Seán Murphy is a senior business leader at Adherent, bringing broad commercial and operational expertise across strategy, business development, global account management, procurement, finance, and supply chain operations.
A strong communicator and relationship builder, Seán is particularly skilled at developing networks, managing complex stakeholder and customer relationships, and working collaboratively across teams.
His leadership approach combines strategic thinking, commercial discipline, and a strong focus on people and partnerships.
Katrin Ruhl , Senior Associate, Ashurst Perkins Coie
Katrin is a lawyer in Ashurst Perkins Coie’s dispute resolution practice with extensive experience representing clients before state courts and in out-of-court proceedings, particularly in construction-related matters.
She advises national and international companies on complex product liability and product safety issues and has significant experience defending mass claims, especially in the life sciences and automotive sectors. Katrin has also supported clients in coordinating multi-jurisdictional litigation and developing comprehensive defence strategies.
Katrin studied law at the University of Augsburg and was admitted to the bar in Germany in 2017.
