Jumana’s Biography
Jumana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Economics from the University of Haifa and has extensive experience in civil society and social activism.
She spent 17 years working with the grassroots Arab organization in Israel, the Social Development Committee Haifa (SDC Haifa). She first served as Director of the Legal Unit and later as CEO, leading its mission to strengthen the capacity of Haifa’s Arab minority to advocate for its rights and drive social change. Her work included developing rights-awareness programs, coordinating legal defence efforts, and guiding lobbying initiatives to advance equality in urban planning, education, resource allocation, and public representation.
In addition, Jumana worked for several years in a law firm in Israel as a family lawyer, representing women from shelters in civil and religious courts.
She graduated from the Mandel Leadership Program, which focuses on developing vision-driven leaders for Israeli society.
Jumana is fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, and English.
