Fernanda’s Biography
Fernanda is a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist within the Global Regulatory Compliance team at Adherent, currently based in Barcelona, where she monitors regulatory developments across South America. She is a subject matter expert in medical devices and provides specialist support on regulatory requirements affecting the sector.
She serves as project lead for a global regulatory initiative and regularly delivers detailed analyses and guidance on complex legal and technical questions relating to medical devices, data protection, and cybersecurity.
Fernanda holds the European Healthcare Compliance Certificate Program (EU HCCP), a Master’s degree in International Trade Law with a focus on MedTech compliance – regulatory approaches focused on cybersecurity and data protection – and a postgraduate degree in Constitutional Law. She is a qualified lawyer admitted in both Brazil and Portugal. In addition to Portuguese and English, she speaks Spanish and has working knowledge of Italian and French.
With more than five years of experience in regulatory and compliance roles, and over a decade of prior legal practice, Fernanda brings deep expertise in navigating complex legal landscapes. Before joining Adherent in 2019, she worked as a lawyer advising on constitutional, civil, and commercial law matters.
